How to Make Web Designers Love You
If you’re using MS Word to create your copy that’s destined for the web you should check out this tip from the Wordfeeder about smart quotes. I didn’t know this and wondered why some of my copy came out looking wonky on the web.

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing. It’s worth mentioning that some sites have incorporated the MS Smart Quotes Algorithm which translates Smart Quotes to HTML or PHP (which one or both, I can’t be certain.)
But it’s still a wise idea to just nix the Smart Quotes when doing work for your web clients.
