Okay, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here and my e-mail has been flooded by people wanting to know if I was still around and if everything was okay.

I’m kidding - nobody really gave a damn.

Anyway the reason for the lack of posts is simple: I just haven’t had anything to say.

One of the problems with blogging is that in order to gain popularity you have to post a lot, and that means posting even if you’ve got nothing exciting to talk about.

I could’ve told you about the pimple just under the fold of my right butt cheek that’s been an absolute bitch to pop, but I’m not sure how relevant that would be to this place. And although I could post writing tips, the bottom line is that there are plenty of books from people much smarter (and more successful) than I that you could turn to for advice.

I could post complaints about having too much work or not enough work, but I think most of us are in that same boat, and that doesn’t make for exciting reading.

I’ve got a new venture that’s taking up a lot of my time. It’s a comic strip that I write and draw. I posted it awhile back at Comics Sherpa and the response was very positive. I tweaked it, changed the name, and have created a new site to publish it on my own.

It just went live today, but I’ll be adding older strips to the archives as well as new material over the course of the week. If you’d like a good laugh please check it out and consider spreading the word about Charly & Company.

The Word Wrangler will still be here and I’ll still pop in whenever I have something that I think needs to be shared - like what to do when a freelance job seems to good to be true - so please check back now and again.
